From the Incidents screen, you are able to create the Catagories and Types of Events your property may face
From the Incidents page click the +Add Procedure button
Each procedure is associated with a primary Type of event.
A Category allows for a specific procedure to be created for each event type. A responder must select a Type and a Category when creating an Event.
If a procedure is created without an associated category, that procedure Type becomes the default Type for all categories that do not have a procedure explicitly assigned.
Copy Event: Many event Types may have categories that only differ by a few steps or questions or the same Category may exist under more than one Type.
Copy allows the user to easily create a new procedure and associate it to a new Category or Type.
Creating a new procedure:
1. Select the Response Type (note: if you wish to set this response type as the default for all categories skip step 3 and proceed to step 4. Only one default can be created per Type)
3. Specify a Category. If the Category is not listed you will need to add it first under the Event Categories Page.
4. Create a step:
Select an interaction Type
i. Yes / No - Create a decision point depending on how the user responds
ii. Text - Allows the user to input an abbreviated text response
iii. Acknowledgement - Ensures the user has read a specific statement
iv. Checklist - This creates a list of items for the user to interact with in a checklist type format.
c. Enter the information to be gathered or responded to. After this step is used to determine either the next step depending on the choice of the user or if enough information has been acquired to terminate the procedure process.
d. Go to Step - provides a list of the procedures to direct the user to depending on their response.
To add a new step to the procedure click +New Step
5. Continue until all your SOP steps are fulfilled. End the steps with the End Procedure selection.
6. It is always wise to click Preview to ensure the steps are following each other correctly. Save after previewing.
